Position Summary:

The Human Resource Assistant assures that staff is in compliance with applicable agency regulations, including monitoring, tracking and data entry.  The Human Resource Assistant will be responsible for the clerical functions related to the Criminal History Background Check and Home Care Registry systems as well as other required systems.  This position is responsible for scheduling field staff for various required purposes through multiple communication mechanisms including phone and written.  This position is responsible for tracking, analysis and generating assigned reports and monitoring systems. 

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalency.
  • Attention to detail is required including excellent follow-up and organizational skills.
  • Two (2) years office experience. Previous Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, telephone, documentation and communication skills.
  • Must possess competent computer skills, with Windows-based experience required.  Willing/able to be trained on software package used by Agency.
  • Must possess the disposition and personality to work harmoniously with a wide variety of people and all levels of staff, and interact with other members of the team.

Working Environment / Physical and Personal Requirements:

  • Able to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Must be able to complete all physical demands of the job, which may include, but not be limited to: the ability to lift up to 20 pounds, prolonged periods of sitting and intermittent physical activity such as occasional requirement to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, pull, climb, reach, lift and perform repetitive movements of the upper extremities including frequent writing and typing.  Must be able to read normal typewritten print and have corrected vision and hearing within normal range.  Has manual dexterity with normal range of motion of all extremities.  
  • Must have ability to operate a computer and/or a tablet PC.
  • May be requested to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
  • Must be able to work independently setting own priorities based upon approved goals with minimum supervision. 
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.    
  • Occasional local travel required.
